Tree on fire
I am convinced there is no better place of sunsets than in the Canadian praires! Driving back to Calgary managed to spend a few minutes on the side of the road to capture this sillouette of a lone tree in the middle of the Alberta Prairies with the sun setting in distance.
Hoping for a colourful sunrise in Kananaskis, Alberta but no such luck! We did have a pretty decent reflection and a little cloud cover to add a little interest to the skies.
Lot's of little waterfalls on the trail above Troll Falls. Some, like this one, take a little standing in frigid temperatures to get the right angle! Well worth the near frostbite...
Stanley Park in the fog
Photo challenge Week 6, Fog. Thought we were going to be completely out of luck for nature to provide us with some crappy weather to complete this weeks challenge as it has been rediculously nice weather in Calgary this week. Fotunately?!? we had a little icy fog roll in this afternoon so I didn't have to get creative and create my own fog set up! Taken in Stanley Park just off of downtown Calgary on the Elbow River.
A little waterfall on Bauerman Creek near the Snowshoe campsite in the Backcountry of Waterton National Park.
Black and white long exposure of Crescent Falls near the Banff park boundry on Hwy 11.

Evening at Moraine Lake
Long! Exposure of Moraine Lake from a slightly different view than the normal. Scrambled down the rocks to a very serene spot that I had all to myself.
Boom Lake, looking back toward where the trail ends at the lake. A small scramble over rocks and through the bushes and away from the crowds on a gorgeous day in Banff

Boat House at night
Out late at Maligne Lake. Even late at night the sky never really darkened to get many stars out but the lake was so calm the reflection of the boat house was almost perfect.
Franchere Peak in behind Cavell Lake, Jasper National Park, Alberta Canada. Shot mid afternoon with the sun overhead. I want to return here at sunrise soon to see the difference in light!
